I’ve been in the freight business for a little over 3 years.  I’ve been on the operations side, carrier sales side, and currently works on the new business development side.  Most people have no idea what I do during the day and most people who are in traffic departments are misinformed as to what we do in this business.  Our job is a continuous problem, we put out fire’s without the use of water or a fire extinguisher, and we do it by staying calm.  Freight brokerage is consistently ranked as one of the most stressful jobs out there.  Hopefully this blog will help others understand what we do and by doing so it will help create a better relationship between shippers and truckers, truckers and brokers, and most important to me shippers and brokers.
